Scotland's capital city is one of the finest cities in the UK for urban exploration on foot. The St Valery guest house is right on the edge of the compact city centre, a World Heritage Site, which is packed with an endless list of things to see and do. We are conveniently located within walking distance of the famous castle, the fascinating buildings of the Old Town and the New Town, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament at the foot of the Royal Mile, as well as a large number of world-class museums. And after a long day enjoying the many delights of ‘the Athens of the North’, you can hop on the tram, which takes you back to our doorstep in just a few minutes. Prefer some peace and quiet instead? The idyllic Water of Leith walkway is accessible just 200 yards from our location. We are also a popular guest house for rugby-fans from the world over, as the iconic Murrayfield stadium is just over a 15-minute walk away.
